Terms of Service

1. Overview

Fromdot Academy provides personalized 1:1 online tutoring services for students in Grades 1–12. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Eligibility

  • Students: Students of any age may use our services with parental or guardian consent. A parent or guardian must complete the enrollment process for students under 18.
  • Teachers: Teacher applicants must be at least 18 years old and must provide accurate information about their qualifications and experience.

3. Enrollment & Classes

  • Enrollment is confirmed only after the application is reviewed and approved by our team.
  • Classes are conducted online via video conferencing platforms (e.g., Google Meet).
  • Students are expected to attend scheduled classes on time. Repeated no-shows may result in schedule adjustments.
  • We reserve the right to reassign tutors based on availability and compatibility.

4. Fees & Payments

  • Tuition fees are communicated at the time of enrollment and may vary by grade and subject.
  • Fees are payable in advance as per the agreed schedule (monthly or term-based).
  • Late payments may result in temporary suspension of classes until dues are cleared.
  • Payment records and receipts are maintained for your reference.

5. Cancellation & Refund

  • Students may cancel enrollment by notifying us at least 7 days in advance.
  • Refunds for pre-paid fees will be processed on a pro-rata basis for unused sessions, minus any applicable administrative charges.
  • No refunds are available for classes already conducted.
  • We reserve the right to discontinue a student's enrollment in cases of misconduct or policy violations.

6. Code of Conduct

All users (students, parents, and teachers) must adhere to the following:

  • Treat all participants with respect and dignity.
  • Maintain a professional and focused learning environment during classes.
  • Do not record, screenshot, or distribute class content without explicit permission.
  • Do not share login credentials or personal contact details of tutors/students outside the platform.
  • Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate termination of services.

7. Teacher Responsibilities

  • Teachers must provide accurate qualifications and experience during the application process.
  • Teachers must maintain punctuality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Teaching materials and methods should align with the student's curriculum and learning goals.
  • Teachers must not solicit students for private tutoring outside of Fromdot Academy.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, and design elements, is the property of Fromdot Academy and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written consent.

9. Limitation of Liability

  • Fromdot Academy acts as a platform connecting students with qualified tutors. We are not liable for academic outcomes or exam results.
  • We are not responsible for technical issues on the user's end (internet connectivity, device problems, etc.).
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees paid by you for the current term.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kerala, India.
